Our baby boy is 8 months old today! It’s hard to believe that he’s been out in the world for almost as long as he was in my tummy. These past 8 months have passed so fast! As I recently discussed with a new-mommy friend of mine, when you have a baby, it starts to feel like one continuous day broken up by as many naps as you can fit in. Maybe that explains why the months have passed in the blink of an eye… the most wonderful, exhaustingly happy, months of my life.
Here is an 8 month update:
Crawling: He is getting to be a really fast crawler! He loves it when you get down on the floor and chase him around the room and he squeals when you catch him.
Talking: Jackson is saying Mama and Dada. He thinks that he can say more, because he talks to you like you understand him. It’s really cute. Also, he has starting singing with us when we sing to him.
Standing: He has become much more stable on his feet when he pulls up on things. He can move around while he holds on, but he’s not quite comfortable moving from one thing to another.
Sleeping: Not so much. Still not sleeping through the night, although we are working on it.
Teeth: 2 and counting.
He is still an incredibly happy baby… even at 4 am when he wakes up and wants to play. We are so blessed to be the parents of such a special little boy.
