We're Here!

What a whirlwind the past couple of months have been! For those of you who don’t know… we moved! We have relocated to Jason’s hometown of Reynolds, IL. Reynolds is about 20 miles outside of Moline, one of the 4 cities that make up the Quad-Cities area of Illinois and Iowa.

For those of you that knew we were moving and were patiently awaiting a blog update… here it is!

Everyone survived the move, the LONG drive up here, and the BLIZZARD when we arrived. (By the way, that's not fog. It's snow... and lots of it!)

I’ll be posting soon with pictures from Christmas and other things that have happened in the almost 3 months (I really can’t believe it has been so long) since my last post. Until then, we hope everyone is doing well. We are trying to stay warm…. it was 0 degrees when I left the house this morning… brrrrrrrrrr!

Addison

We have a brand new niece! Well, new as of September 7th, but we did get to meet her for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Addison came to visit with her mom, Tami (Jason’s sister), and Grandma Shirley. Jackson LOVED his little cousin. He kept saying “hey” to her and patting her head. It was so adorable. We had a great visit and can’t wait to see everyone again at Christmas!

Charleston

We spent this past weekend in Charleston, one of my absolute favorite places. Jason had a gig down there on Saturday, so we decided to make it a weekend getaway. Jackson and I had a great time shopping along King Street on Saturday afternoon. Sunday, the three of us walked around downtown, taking in the beautiful scenery. It was a great weekend!

Briles Farm

Back in October, we visited the Briles’ Farm for a good old fashioned pig pickin’. Cyana and Kenneth Briles invited their family and friends over to their farm for good food, great company, and wonderful music (provided by THE Jason Parchert). A great time was had by all… especially Jackson! Kenneth gave Jackson a pumpkin and he LOVED it. He thought it was the greatest thing! Jackson also had fun running down the hills (there aren’t many of those in Myrtle Beach) and took a couple of tumbles. If you look close in a couple of the pictures, you can see that he came home with a few scratches and bruises. Oh, well… boys will be boys!

(I probably got a little carried away with the “Jackson holding a pumpkin” pictures, but I couldn’t resist! He is so cute and has a different expression in each one. I couldn’t choose between them, so I just put them all on here.)
